Flow
No sooner has the little black cat rubbed the sleep out of her eyes than she is startled to discover that a huge flood is burying the old world beneath it. Just in time, she saves herself on a sailing boat, on which a thieving monkey, a good-natured Labrador, a sleepy capybara and a proud secretary bird gradually find refuge. It soon becomes clear that their differences are their strength and together they face the challenges of the new world.
Director Gints Zilbalodis (AWAY - FROM FINDING HAPPINESS) lets us drift gently through beautiful animal and water worlds in this magnificent story. Although FLOW refrains from excessively humanizing its protagonists, we encounter the animal adventurers in an incredibly animated way. They convey more emotions through meowing, grunting and barking than they ever could with the help of prominent dubbing voices.
With the Oscar, the Golden Globe and the European Film Award for Best Animated Film, FLOW has received all the major awards in its velvet paws.
Lars is LOL
Amanda reluctantly agrees to support her new classmate Lars in everyday school life. He has Down's syndrome. She soon realizes that Lars and she have more in common than she initially thought - especially their love of Harry Potter: after school, they fool around together with made-up spells. To her surprise, a unique friendship develops between her and Lars. But when she is urged to turn against him, she puts it at risk ...
A touching, imaginative film about the importance of friendship, diversity and social inclusion. Multiple awards, including the ECFA Award 2024 at the BUFF, International Children and Young People's Film Festival in Malmö, the CineKindl Award for the best children's film at the Munich Film Festival and the Michel Film Prize Maja at the Hamburg Film Festival.
The little polar bear
Oh, how wonderful life is for little polar bear Lars at the North Pole! Only swimming scares him. Fortunately, when Lars falls into the water while playing and almost drowns, Robby the seal saves his life. Although their parents don't allow it, Lars and Robby become best friends. But some polar bears don't like this at all. After all, where would we end up if all animals just made friends like that? But nobody can separate best friends so easily, so Lars and Robby hatch a plan. It's the start of more adventures together.
"A colorful and lavishly designed animated film based on Hans de Beer's popular picture books, which is completely in tune with the receptiveness and world of experience of younger cinema-goers." Encyclopedia of International Film

With KAI AUS DER KISTE, a GDR children's film classic returns to the big screen. This lovingly staged film delighted its young audience back in 1988 and is now a true gem of children's and youth films.
Life is now - The Real Life Guys
Based on a true story, the film tells the story of the Mickenbecker twins Philipp and Johannes, who come from a strict Christian home. Together with their sister Elli and their friends, they set up the YouTube channel "The Real Life Guys", on which they present creative and often daring projects such as a flying bathtub and gain well over a million followers. When Philipp falls ill with cancer, everything changes: the siblings realize the transience of life and decide to enjoy every moment and really let it rip from now on. Instead of withdrawing, they want to motivate others to live life more consciously and seize opportunities with courage.
"LIFE IS NOW is not a tragedy, but an inspiring story full of joie de vivre, courage, deep friendship and faith." Frankfurter Rundschau
