Summer wedding of Sarah & Sascha
"The support from the Jagdschloss Platte team couldn't have been better!"
Our wedding date
July 2022
Planning & lead time
We enquired about and visited the hunting lodge 2 years in advance. We booked the event location 1.5 years in advance.
This is how we celebrated
We had our free wedding ceremony behind the hunting lodge Platte on the meadow. We used the castle as follows:
- First floor: Dinner
- Ground floor back left: Children's room
- Ground floor straight ahead: Bar
- Ground floor back right: Party room
- Ground floor front right: Photo action
Our ideas & tips for you
The big advantage for us was that we had a lot of space to turn all our individual designs and wishes into reality. We had enough creative freedom in terms of size and also in terms of the flexibility of the service providers and specifications.
Highlight/favorite moment of the day
The whole day was perfect for us and couldn't have been more beautiful. The absolute highlight, however, was reciting the vows.
Breakdowns, bad luck and mishaps: Has something gone really wrong?
Apart from the fact that shortly before the wedding the dress was lost in the store, 3 days before the wedding the pastry chef almost canceled the cake, due to a mix-up 12 hours before the wedding almost the entire floristry was canceled and we had to postpone 1 year due to Corona, everything went perfectly:)
Our service providers

Budget
We didn't make it with our initially planned budget, as we had to postpone due to corona and wanted to implement more great ideas thanks to the extra year of planning :)
Would you have done anything differently in hindsight?
No, we would do it again and again.
What impact did the coronavirus pandemic and the current regulatory situation have on your wedding?
We had to postpone the wedding from 2021 to 2022 due to the restrictions. All the coordination and the entire procedure was no problem at all for the Jagdschloss Platte team. Many thanks for the great cooperation! Special thanks to Mrs. Apitz, they are great!
