New Year's concert at Jagdschloss Platte: two wind corps united
At the traditional New Year's concert at the Platte Hunting Lodge on January 1, 2026, visitors can once again look forward to a special start to the year.
With a great passion for music, the new year is traditionally welcomed with a concert by the Parforcehorncorps Jagdschloss Platte. And this time there will be active support: the alphorn ensemble "Die Rheinhörner" with four members under the direction of Ms. Claudia Augustini will enrich the New Year's concert with new timbres.
The Parforcehorncorps Jagdschloss Platte e.V. under the direction of horn master Karl-Heinz Kliegel will play historical and contemporary hunting music on natural horns without valves. The New Year's blowing at Jagdschloss Platte is always a great start to the annual hunting horn concert series for the association - as well as for concert-goers.
The concert starts at 3 pm. Admission to the concert is once again free of charge in 2026 and no tickets are required. There is primarily standing room on site, with only a few seats available.
Free parking is available in front of the Jagdschloss Platte.
The neighboring Gasthof Jagdschloss Platte is open from 12 noon and offers home-style cooking for refreshments before or after the concert. Drinks and snacks are also available from the kiosk at the mini golf course.
Historical castle tours
The free guided tours of the castle for interested visitors in the run-up to the New Year's concert at Jagdschloss Platte have already become a tradition. At 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on January 1, 2025, a Wiesbaden tour guide will offer a guided tour of the historic walls free of charge.
The Jagdschloss Platte team asks you to register in advance, as places are limited to 30 people per tour. Registrations can be made online at 10 a.m. on December 27, 2025 (max. four tickets per person).
