For a leisurely breakfast, there are numerous cafés in the city center, such as the traditional Café Maldaner (opens in a new tab), which is also affectionately known as "Wiesbaden's living room" (closed until August 12), the French café "Les Deux Messieurs" (opens in a new tab) or "The Room by Tiff" (opens in a new tab), which is a café and concept store in one.

Fancy a good coffee? At KAUFMANNS Kaffeerösterei (opens in a new tab) am Markt, you can enjoy a cup with a view of the Marktkirche. The Maldaner Coffee & Culture Lab (opens in a new tab), tucked away in a backyard in the lively Westend, also serves excellent coffee. At the traditional company Hepa Kaffee (opens in a new tab), you can even have a coffee blend roasted to suit your preferences.

The Kurhaus is the town's landmark - a real gem that was commissioned by Kaiser Wilhelm II in 1904. Right in the foyer of the Kurhaus is a real highlight at Christmas time - the Christmas tree, which consists of over 2,000 red poinsettias and lights up the foyer in a wonderful red. This atmospheric tradition has been an integral part of the pre-Christmas activities at the Kurhaus for over 25 years. With a height of over eight meters, it is unique in its kind and a beloved landmark of the Kurhaus during the Christmas season.

Ice fun for the whole family: in the 2025/2026 winter season, the Bowling Green in front of the Kurhaus will once again be transformed into Germany's largest mobile ice rink from November 26 to January 11. In addition to skate hire, lockers, changing tents, skate loops and ice skating aids, there will also be a culinary offer on site for refreshments. Glide across the ice to good mood music and then enjoy a snack - fun for the whole family.

The scent of hot mulled wine, roasted almonds and waffles is in the air - at the shooting star market you will find numerous culinary offerings, a children's carousel and lots of handicrafts - perfect for last-minute Christmas gift shopping. In addition to the shooting star market, children will find the enchanted gnome forest with illuminated figures at the children's shooting star market (opens in a new tab). A detour to the Winterstubb with Ferris wheel (opens in a new tab) is also worthwhile - here visitors can take a ride on the giant wheel. In the new, enclosed and heated gondolas, the view from a height of 45 meters over the Christmas-decorated city centre is twice as enjoyable. Afterwards, you can sample Hessian specialties in one of the numerous stalls on site.

Driving up the Neroberg from the city is a real insider tip. Once on the Neroberg, the view over Wiesbaden from the Löwenterrasse is well worth the effort. Afterwards, you can round off the evening with a red or white mulled wine in the Chateau Néro (opens in a new tab) with a fantastic view over Wiesbaden.
