The tour does not include visits to the interiors of the buildings.
The meeting point is at the Kurhaus. To start off, you’ll learn what ideas Ferdinand Heyl, Wiesbaden’s first spa director, used to turn today’s state capital into one of the leading spa resorts of his time, and why Nizzaplätzchen is called Nizzaplätzchen.
Nizza-Plätzchen As you stroll through the park, designed as an English landscape garden, you’ll be treated to unique views of the Kurhaus and the stately homes lining the spa park.

Kochbrunnen Unique in Europe: In the Quellenviertel district in the city center, 27 hot springs bubble up to the surface from a depth of around 2,000 meters. You can sample the hottest one, at 67 degrees, at the Kochbrunnen. You’ll also learn what the “Mattiakische Kugeln” are all about and what exclusive offerings turned the Hotel Rose—formerly located on Kranzplatz—into a hotspot for pampered spa guests.
Schwarzer Bock The Hotel Schwarzer Bock, one of Europe’s oldest grand hotels, offers a glimpse into the luxury that once surrounded spa guests. And then things take a mysterious turn: What’s the story behind the Ingelheim Room with its opulent wood paneling?
Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme We make one final stop at the Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme, which offers luxury bathing at the highest level.
Of course, we won't leave you without more tips for staying, enjoying, strolling, exploring and, of course, coming back!
