Theater im Palast: made by kuenstlerhaus43

It starts right at the west entrance on the evergreen artificial turf. The audience is greeted personally and enters a colorful dream factory: dinner theater, poetry slam, reading brunch and much more.

There is a lot of heart and soul in the productions of this theater. Wolfgang Vielsack and Susanne Müller show in the breakfast room of the old palace hotel how theater works when the audience becomes part of the production. Whether it's about love, as in Saint-Exupéry's Little Prince, or about mystery and intrigue, as in "Corpse Feast & Black Cats": The theater duo manages to involve its guests in a lovingly entertaining way.

Wolfgang Vielsack and Susanne Müller started back in 2005, initially at Obere Webergasse 43 in the Bergkirchen district, the house number is still in the name of the theater. It was not until 2021 that the two of them and their team moved into the new venue directly on Kochbrunnenplatz. It took a lot of effort to convert the elegant dining room with its glass dome ceiling into a theater space, but the work was worth it: the setting now fits perfectly with their dinner theater concept: the program not only includes the play, but also a menu that takes up the plot. The "Spätlesereiter", for example, staged by Vielsack himself, takes guests on a journey through the history of the Rheingau - Napoleon and Prince Metternich sit at the table - with coq au vin and Sachertorte.

"We can play in these rooms with much more space and width than before," says Vielsack. By the way: backstage, it's not just the stage fright that can make you break out in a sweat - after all, one of Wiesbaden's great hot springs bubbles up right next door.
