Tour de Biebrich

The THermine not only travels within the city center, but also takes you from the "Markt" stop opposite the Tourist Information to Biebrich Castle every Saturday from 3 pm from June to September. You can listen to the stories of the formerly independent Rhine community. Another highlight of this trip is the entertaining guided tour of the Henkell Freixenet sparkling wine cellar by Thermine operator Andreas Wagner, followed by a tasting of a glass of Henkell Trocken.

The Henkell Freixenet sparkling wine cellar

The palatial and imposing headquarters of Henkell Freixenet Sektkellerei, Schloss Henkell, has been enthroned on Biebricher Allee in Wiesbaden-Biebrich since 1909. The magnificent Greek and Italian marble foyer hosts the legendary annual sparkling wine night and the 4 Seasons Concerts.

On a guided tour of the winery, you will of course get to know one of the most important sparkling wine cellars in the world even better. Four different tours are offered on site:

  • Discovery Tour: self-guided cell phone tour, 60 minutes, 1 piccolo
  • Impression Tour: guided tour for a brief look behind the scenes, 60 minutes, 1 glass of sparkling wine
  • Experience Tour: comprehensive insight into the company and the variety of products, 90 minutes, two glasses of sparkling wine
  • Celebrate Life Tour: comprehensive guided tour with live dégorgement and subsequent tasting of the freshly disgorged premium sparkling wine, 120 minutes, three glasses of sparkling wine

In the Henkell Freixenet store, you can discover and buy the best of the company's international world of sparkling wines, wines and spirits, such as sparkling wine, prosecco, crémant, cava and champagne.
