Wiesbaden in your ear - What does Wiesbaden sound like?
From the Mauergasse to the Nerobergbahn to the parakeets in the Kurpark: 14 acoustic landmarks await you on the interactive "Wiesbaden in your ear" tour. Simply walk through the stations marked on the flyer, scan the corresponding QR code with your smartphone and experience Wiesbaden in a different way.
There is no single answer to this question: for some, the sound of the city is the good-humored buzz of voices in the Mauergasse at the market, for others it is the parrots at the Kurpark or the carillon of the Marktkirche. That's why the city of Wiesbaden has set up an entire tour where you can collect a variety of acoustic impressions.
"Wiesbaden im Ohr" has 14 stops, and the principle of this digital discovery tour is as smart as it is simple: you can scan a QR code with your smartphone at prominent points in the city to get an acoustic impression of Wiesbaden - without having to download an app.
When you are out and about in the city, you will almost inevitably pass one or two stations: For example at the Kurpark pond, at the Nerobergebahn train stop or at the Kochbrunnen fountain. You can hear the sound of the roulette ball at the Kurhaus or the Thermine streetcar at the market square. Using your smartphone, you will not only get a more intense acoustic experience of the respective location, but you can also use original sounds and videos to gain insights into situations that are often inaccessible to visitors.
The nice background to the idea: the suggestions for the stations come from the people of Wiesbaden themselves. Over 100 locations were suggested, which shows that the people of Wiesbaden listen pretty well when it comes to their city. And which suggests that one or two stations could be added in the future.
