I, Kirsten Werner, have been running my fruit farm in Heidesheim near Mainz in the 4th generation since 2013. Before that, my parents, Silvia and Helmut Werner, had been running it since 1975.
For generations, our goal has been to produce sustainable, environmentally friendly, healthy fruit for our local population with a clear conscience. We do this through controlled, integrated cultivation.
Our product range begins to "fruit" in June with the first sweet cherries. Very soon afterwards, as long as the frosty nights in April and the ice saints in May have not done their mischief, we can harvest apricots from mid-June - there are currently 9 different varieties in cultivation.
<p>From July, our range expands to include sour cherries, peaches, nectarines and over 16 varieties of plums and mirabelle plums.
Our "winter fruit", the first apples and pears, then follow from August. Due to their good shelf life, we offer these until mid/end of April.
If you would like to find out more about our fruit farm, please contact us by e-mail or telephone.
