Cinemas in Wiesbaden

Filmenthusiasts in Wiesbaden even have a selection of centrally-located film theatres with the latest technology. Smaller cinemas cater to niche markets and show highquality films, even if they are not blockbusters. In addition, the municipal cinema Caligari in Hessen’s state capital Wiesbaden enjoys a high standing. Here, among other things, the internationally known and recognised film festival “goEast” takes place, which is dedicated to Eastern European films.

    A private initiative in cooperation with the Film Rating Board and Cultural Department of the City of Wiesbaden provides a very special cinematic experience twice a month: Cinema in the former residence of the Dukes of Nassau, i.e. the baroque palace in Biebrich on the Rhine river.
