Human rights violations have been and remain a central theme in Marcelo Brodsky’s art. Marcelo Brodsky gained international recognition with his series “Buena Memoria” (1997), which addresses the deportation and murder of some of his classmates and his brother Fernando Brodsky during the military dictatorship in Argentina.

Other series followed, including “1968 – The Fire of Ideas,” “Africa in the Struggle for Freedom,” “Migrants,” and “Traces of Violence.” The Kunsthaus presented a selection of his works.

The exhibition was curated by Professor Dr. Márcio Seligmann-Silva. It took place in cooperation with the Jewish Museum Frankfurt as part of the project “MISHPOCHA: The Art of Collaboration.”
