He would have turned 80 on September 1, 2024. To mark the occasion, the Kunsthaus Wiesbaden honored him with a very special tribute. Until November 11, 2024, it presented a sound-artistic tribute to Peter Roer under the title "sounds like...? looks like...?", a sound-artistic homage to Peter Roehr.

The renowned artist Peter Roehr died in 1968 at the age of just 24. Despite his brief creative career, he left behind a substantial body of work and is recognized today internationally as one of the first representatives of Minimal Art in Germany, a Pop Art photographer, and a pioneer of Conceptual Art in the 1970s. Born in 1944, the artist attended the Werkkunstschule in
Wiesbaden—now the site of the Kunsthaus Wiesbaden. In 2024, Peter Roehr would have turned 80
. To mark this occasion, the Kunsthaus honored the artist with a special tribute.
Five international sound artists—Danbi Jeung, Kyungseo Min, Juan David Bermúdez, Wingel Mendoza, and Leon Senger—engaged with Peter Roehr and his working methods for the first time. Works were created specifically for this exhibition, which stand in dynamic dialogue with a selection of serial montages by Peter Roehr.
