On Cinematic Installations, Transparency, and the Digital in Everyday Life How does the digital shape our everyday lives—and how can we experience it through our senses? As part of the HSRM-Dialog series, we invite you to a discussion about digital traces, spaces, and perception:

How are digital technologies changing our relationship to the body, space, and architecture?
What role do data, images, and technical devices play in our daily lives?
How can such developments be made visible in an exhibition or in film?
Filmmaker Juliane Henrich, together with design theorist Prof. Dr. Theo Steiner, will present their latest films and installations. These works explore the traces we leave behind in the virtual world and examine how this data affects our perception of physical space. Henrich combines observations from everyday life with cinematic imagery and spatial thought experiments: a former mining region serves as the starting point for reflections on data mining; research into glass architecture leads to the question of what transparency and technical permeability mean today.

Both Juliane Henrich and Prof. Dr. Theo Steiner are members of the Resonance Spaces research group, which is part of the Artistic & Design Research in Media and Architecture (ADRIMA) research focus within the Department of Design, Computer Science, and Media at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (HSRM). The working group investigates how current changes in our relationships with the world can be reflected in artistic and design works.

Starting at 6:00 p.m., two short films by Juliane Henrich will be screened in the Kunsthaus foyer.
