International Museum Day
Every year on this day, museums throughout Germany invite visitors to their premises - including the Kunsthaus. On International Museum Day, museums around the world draw attention to their role in society. As an important means of cultural exchange, they take responsibility for our cultural heritage.
The theme of International Museum Day 2026 is: "Museums uniting a divided world." Every year, museums across Germany open their doors to the public—and the Kunsthaus is no exception. This year’s theme highlights the special role museums play in a time of global challenges and social tensions. Museums can build bridges—between generations, cultures, and different ways of life.
