Herbert and Reisinger plants
The city of Wiesbaden has succeeded in keeping the area around the main railway station free of buildings and creating an attractive green space.
The former Reichsbahn site directly in front of Wiesbaden's main railway station was transformed into a green space in 1932 on the initiative of founders Hugo Reisinger and Adam Herbert. The 3.4 hectare park is dominated by extensive lawns, fountains and geometrically arranged water basins and provides a direct north-south connection from the main railway station to the city center.
The Herbert and Reisinger grounds are also included in the numerous open-air events on the Wiesbaden events calendar.
