"Wiesbaden committed": Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH team supports two projects for the first time
The "Wiesbaden engagiert!" campaign week brings together municipal employees, companies and non-profit organizations in Wiesbaden with the aim of getting involved in joint projects during a campaign period and using their own, often manual and creative skills. This year, the project, which is implemented under the auspices of the Office for Social Work, took place for the 20th time.
Summer party and renovation
Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH (WICM) and TriWiCon have been supporting the large inclusive summer festival of the Wiesbaden pastoral care for the disabled on the grounds of the Protestant St. Thomas parish, which takes place annually on the first Friday of the action week, for many years. This year, the party was celebrated on 21 June with around 100 guests and 14 employees of Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH and TriWiCon, who provided active support in setting up, dismantling and organizing the party with games and culinary delights.
Martin Michel, Managing Director of Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH, is delighted with his team's willingness: "It's great to see that so many employees want to get involved for the common good in Wiesbaden and that we were able to implement two projects at once due to the great demand within the company."
At the project exchange held in March 2024, WICM was able to acquire a project from the Wiesbaden Youth Information Center (JIZ). The JIZ - Wiesbaden's youth information center in Schwalbacher Straße - which has now been open for around a year and a half, was spruced up by eight employees on Monday, 24 June. Painting work was carried out and a planting bed was installed and designed.
"We are really delighted with the great support from the WICM team, which has finally enabled us to install the planned plant bed in the daylight shaft. This will turn our basement into a real eye-catcher and create a feel-good atmosphere in our youth cellar," explains Johannes Jäger, Head of Youth Participation at the Office for Social Work.
