The fruit of nature and the  power of human passion give our breads their unmistakable character.


As a passionate master miller with a heart, company founder Herbert Hahn knew the importance of unmistakable flour attributes and put all his creative energy into bringing together all the factors that produce the unique Prümtaler flour. "Nature provides us with everything we need to bake the best bread," he used to say, "we just have to treat the natural raw materials appropriately and let them flow together to bring out the best in them." He thus devotedly laid the foundations for our Prümtaler breads.

We know the value of original ears of wheat that grow in the powerful soils of the Eifel. So that our miller can produce our unique Prümtaler flour as in the past, we have developed the grain value program. We work exclusively with farmers from the Eifel region who cultivate their grain fields according to these cultivation guidelines. We grind this grain daily in our own mill, the only remaining grain mill in the Eifel.
The best flour, full of minerals, vitamins, fiber and trace elements, forms the basis of Prümtaler baked goods. As in the past, our doughs are made with pure natural sourdough. The combination of natural raw materials, a long dough rest and an extended baking time give Prümtal breads their unique, incomparable taste.
