If more applications are received for stands of certain sizes than the number of available stands, a selection is made in accordance with Section 70 (3) of the Trade Regulation Act (GewO) (opens in a new tab). The decisive criterion for the selection is the attractiveness, which is measured according to the following characteristics, which are weighted differently according to a points system, taking into account the purpose of the event (concept of the market), the design intention (number of different product groups, type of goods) and the site-specific conditions (placement of the stands) of the respective event:
- Variety of goods and services on offer
- fourfold weighting, - Originality of the goods and services on offer
- fourfold weighting, - Appearance and condition of the store / stand
- triple weighting, - Special features of the presentation (e.g. sustainability, craft demonstrations, special clothing, etc.)
- single weighting.
