About us
In January 1987, the Linzke family set up their own business, realizing their father's dream. Trout from his "hobby farm" were pickled and smoked according to his own recipe and offered for the first time at the weekly market in Lich. These trout became the cornerstone of the current fish trade and are still smoked on site at the weekly market in Wiesbaden. In the meantime, the fish no longer come from the "hobby farm", but from a large trout farm on Lake Edersee. These are transferred live (including eels and carp in the fall) to spring water ponds in Lich.
Over the years, not only the range of smoked fish has expanded due to high demand. There is now a large selection of fresh sea fish, delicatessen salads and unusual fish specialties.
Fischhandel Linzke is always concerned about freshness and quality. That is why Mr. Linzke personally travels to the wholesale market to select the best and most beautiful fish, which he then lovingly arranges in a sales trolley. Once they arrive at the weekly market, trout and salmon trout are smoked and various fish are filleted and boned at the customer's request.
