Water playground
The water playground at the Reisinger Park has been open since August 13, 2026. The playground covers an area of 1,500 square meters.
A sophisticated water treatment system in the newly built utility building, equipped with multiple filters, ensures swimming-pool-quality water in a closed-loop system. At the same time, water is used sparingly: only as much fresh water is added as is lost through evaporation.
The design of the water features and play elements is inspired by the legend of the giant Ekko, to whom Wiesbaden is said to owe its hills, valleys, streams, and thermal springs. The area with the water jets symbolizes the giant Ekko’s handprint. The water slide and three other play elements together form the dragon that Ekko is said to have fought.
There are a total of 16 benches, two large umbrellas, and, coming soon, an accessible restroom located in the building housing the water systems.
Opening hours
The playground is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the season; the water play area is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
