Rheingau Wine Week 2026
Ten days, one wine region, over 100 booths—from August 14 to 23, 2026, the area around the Marktkirche, Schlossplatz, and Dern’sches Gelände will once again be transformed into the “longest wine bar in the world.” At 93 wine stands, visitors can sample around 1,000 different wines and sparkling wines.
Joie de vivre, lightness and hospitality
Rheingau Wine Week—the world’s largest Riesling tasting event in the state capital of Wiesbaden—will be celebrated in the heart of downtown from August 14 to 23, 2026. For the 49th time, wineries from the Rheingau will offer nearly 1,000 of their wines and sparkling wines for tasting and enjoyment at 98 booths. What sets the Rheingau Wine Week apart, in addition to the diverse, local selection offered by the winemakers, is the special atmosphere in the squares between City Hall, the Marktkirche, and the castle. Measured by the number of winemakers and the wines on offer, the Rheingau Wine Week in Wiesbaden is the largest wine festival in the world known to the WICM as the organizer.
Wine and gastronomy stands
At 117 booths—93 wine booths, 20 food booths, and once again a partnership booth—as well as a water booth from ESWE-Versorgung, a Lotto Hessen sales booth, and a charity booth called “Ihnen leuchtet ein Licht” —you’ll be treated to wine and sparkling wine from Wiesbaden and the Rheingau, refreshments, and culinary delights.
Best entertainment on three stages
Around 50 bands provide musical entertainment on three stages - on the Schlossplatz, on the square in front of the Marktkirche and on the Dern'schen grounds.

A rare opportunity will arise on August 21 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.: The Marktkirche tower will be open then, and visitors who climb it will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Rheingau Wine Week and the city center.
Wine Festival Ticket
The ESWE Wine Festival ticket is back, and it offers more than just an affordable, eco-friendly way to get there by bus and train. In addition, visitors who present a Wine Festival ticket will receive a voucher worth 3.00 euros. This voucher can be redeemed for a glass of wine or a non-alcoholic beverage at one of the 20 partner wineries—listed on the back of the voucher. The voucher is available daily from 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the booth in front of the ESWE Mobility Center at Marktstraße 10.
