The current Kloppenheim Cemetery is already the second one used by the municipality. The old cemetery on Kirschberg, originally established in 1825, could no longer be used by the early 20th century. Here, a memorial section maintained by the city administration commemorates Russian forced laborers who were murdered in Kloppenheim in March 1945 by a unit of the Security Police. Holger Goßmann, the mayor of Wiesbaden who died on July 26, 2003, was laid to rest in a memorial section at the Kloppenheim Cemetery.
