Accessibility in the city and music library

Below you will find information on the accessibility of the City and Music Library.

Rainbow flag and symbols

The City and Music Library is barrier-free. Access is via the main entrance. The entrance doors open automatically. Inside the building, a barrier-free elevator (tactile writing and acoustic system) connects the three levels of the library. All media on the individual levels can be accessed without steps. The roof terrace is also easily accessible via the elevator. The carpet laid out in some areas is suitable for wheelchairs.

The steps inside the library are marked with black and yellow stripes, making them easy to recognize.

A plan for the blind is in progress.

The City and Music Library also has two disabled toilets (level 1 and level 0). You can obtain the key at the service counter in the entrance area.

A reading device with magnification function is available in the reading room on level 0.
