Citizens' office

The citizens' office of the state capital of Wiesbaden is your central point of contact for registration and passport matters. In addition to the location in the city center, the local administrations also provide many of these services.

Here you can apply for an identity card or passport, register or deregister your place of residence, obtain a registration certificate or apply for a certificate of good conduct.

The Citizens' Office will be closed all day on Friday, August 7, 2026, and Monday, August 10, 2026, due to construction work and an internal training session.

We can be reached by phone during our regular hours: Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Starting August 11, 2026, our services will be available again as usual.

We operate exclusively by appointment.

Appointments are generally available for the next four weeks via our online scheduling system (opens in a new tab) for the Citizens’ Office and local administrative offices. Additionally, new appointments are added daily and weekly, so it’s worth checking the availability regularly.

In urgent emergencies, please contact the on-site service desk directly—we’ll be happy to assist you.

When booking an appointment, please select all the services you need. Appointment times are precisely tailored to the specific tasks at hand.

If you have multiple issues to address, these must be fully specified at the time of booking so that we can schedule sufficient time for your appointment.

If not all services are selected correctly, we unfortunately cannot guarantee that your issues will be addressed. Furthermore, this leads to delays in the process—at the expense of citizens who arrive on time for their appointments and have booked their requests completely and correctly. We would like to avoid this.

Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation!
