Mainz-Kastel district library
The Mainz-Kastel district library is now located at Mainzer Straße 14 and is open as usual on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 12.30 pm and from 2.30 pm to 6 pm. Changed opening hours for Wednesday, January 14, 2026: Due to remodeling work, the library will not open until 2:30 p.m.
All district libraries are closed on Shrove Tuesday, February 17.
With around 12,000 media for children, young people and adults, it offers an attractive collection that invites you to browse.
- In addition to novels and non-fiction books, there are also audio books, games, films, magazines and Tonies
- Media boxes for various topics and age groups can be put together for schools, daycare centers and other institutions
- Regular events and reading promotion
- Library tours for schools and daycare centers on request, also for entire grades
