Reading aloud for kids
At the Mauritius Media Library at Hochstättenstraße 6–10, there is a read-aloud session for children in preschooland elementary school-aged children.
In cooperation with the “Lies mit mir” project run by Mitinitiative e. V., the Wiesbaden Volunteer Center, and the city libraries, there are regular storytime sessions in which trained readers introduce children to the colorful world of reading.
The sessions last 30 minutes each and take place in small groups organized by age. Often, the reading sessions focus on a specific theme, such as fairy tales or inspirational stories. Occasionally, there are also special events such as multilingual storytime or sessions accompanied by a sign language interpreter. All children are welcome, regardless of any disabilities.
Storytime takes place every first and third Saturday of the month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., as well as on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month (excluding summer break) from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. for children of preschool and elementary school age.
Bilingual reading aloud and reading aloud with sign language translation
