Wiesbaden Open Air Film Festival
The Wiesbaden Open Air Film Festival will once again transform the Reisinger Anlagen into a cozy open-air cinema on twelve evenings from June 18 to July 11. And for the 28th time already!
The film festival will take place from June 18 to July 11, 2026, on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at dusk. The program features twelve fabulous films selected for the festival from the past two years’ cinematic offerings. As always, the lineup includes award-winning films from the major festivals in Cannes, Venice, and Berlin. Each film evening will traditionally open with a short film that complements and expands upon the main feature in terms of content or form.
Culinary offerings will be available on the lawn, including a popcorn stand that also offers small snacks and the Round Tabler stand. The "Bilderwerfer" bar offers regional wines, freshly tapped beer, and homemade lemonade every evening starting at 7 p.m. Food and drinks can be paid for not only in cash but also with a debit card. A portable restroom is available.
The open-air cinema is operated by Bilderwerfer e.V. From general organization and film selection to daily tasks on the lawn (such as setting up the screen, projection, running the “Bilderwerfer” bar and popcorn stand, and cleaning the grounds): everything is done as a team—on a volunteer basis and with great passion.
