The exhibition sheds light on a socially taboo subject and provides insights into the often hidden world of prostitutes. Through 40 staged photographs by Hyp Yerlikaya and accompanying texts, the stories, fears, worries, but also dreams and hopes of these women are told. The exhibition is based on the experiences of women who have often left their home countries to find a better life in Germany, but are confronted with a different reality. The precarious living and working conditions of prostitutes become visible, touching and stimulating public discourse.

The exhibition is accompanied by ten portraits of clients photographed by Bettina Flitner. Bettina Flitner spent ten days in the "wellness brothel" Paradise in Stuttgart in 2013. She asked the men: "Why are you here?"

In collaboration with the municipal women's department and the Amalie advice center.
