Human rights violations were and are a central theme of Marcelo Brodsky's art. Marcelo Brodsky achieved international fame with his series "Buena Memoria" (1997), which deals with the deportation and murder of some of his classmates and his brother Fernando Brodsky during the military dictatorship in Argentina. Further series followed, including "1968 - The Fire of Ideas", "Africa in the Fight for Freedom", "Migrants" and "Traces of Violence". The Kunsthaus is presenting a selection of his works. The exhibition is curated by Professor Dr. Márcio Seligmann-Silva.

It is being held in cooperation with the Jewish Museum Frankfurt as part of the project "MISHPOCHA: The Art of Cooperation".
