The exhibition sheds light on the fate of around 700 men who were deported to the Buchenwald and Mittelbau-Dora concentration camps because they were homosexual. They had to wear a pink triangle on their prison uniforms to identify them. The exhibition not only shows the suffering in the concentration camp, but also depicts the period after the war, because discrimination did not end in 1945. It will be on display from February 12 to April 19, 2026.

The exhibition was developed by students at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena in collaboration with the Buchenwald and Mittelbau-Dora Memorials Foundation.

It is being shown in cooperation with the Wiesbaden City Archives, the Hessian State Agency for Civic Education, the LSBT*IQ Coordination Office, and the frauen museum wiesbaden.

The exhibition opening will take place on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 7 p.m.
