The Artothek will be on Christmas vacation from December 19, 2025 until January 12, 2026. It will be open for the last time this year on Thursday, December 18.

Anyone still looking for a suitable gift can purchase a voucher here. This gives the recipient the opportunity to borrow a painting, graphic, photograph or sculpture for six months. The Artothek team will be on hand to provide expert advice on the selection.

The Artothek will be open again from Tuesday, January 13. The opening hours are Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 am to 5 pm, Thursday, 1 pm to 7 pm and every first Saturday of the month from 11 am to 2 pm.

Browse through our numerous works of art from the municipal collection of Wiesbaden, regional and international artists in a pleasant atmosphere.

Enrich your home, your practice, your office or your business premises with works of art that will inspire you. Around 4,000 objects of painting, graphic art, photography, sculpture and object art await you and are available for a six-month loan for a fee. On request, the loan period can be extended up to twice.

Let yourself be inspired and register - a valid identity card is all you need to enrich your home or office with your chosen work of art. The Artothek team will be happy to provide you with the relevant information material.
