No the ideas, in honor of the pencil
The exhibition project "Nee die Ideen - zu Ehren des Bleistifts", which opens on March 26 at 7 p.m. in the Bellvue Hall, is about artistic positions in hand drawing.
The spectrum ranges from gestural and abstract to representational and ornamental-conceptual positions. Especially in times when artificial intelligence is being declared the producer of art, reflecting on handwriting seems increasingly important.
Drawing has to do with setting and leaving marks; it is the most spontaneous and uncomplicated medium of artistic individuality. As a form of reflection on paper, drawing is both a reflection of the external and internal worlds. This explains the diversity of the positions presented.
The exhibition is also open as part of the "Short Night of Galleries and Museums" on April 11 from 7 p.m. to midnight.
