No the ideas, in honor of the pencil
The exhibition project "Nee die Ideen - zu Ehren des Bleistifts", which can be seen in the Bellvue-Saal until 17 May, focuses on artistic positions in hand drawing. The exhibition can also be seen as part of the "Short Night of Galleries and Museums" on April 11.
The spectrum ranges from gestural and abstract to representational and ornamental-conceptual approaches. Especially in times when artificial intelligence is being hailed as a producer of art, a return to the hand-drawn seems increasingly important.
Drawing has to do with setting and leaving behind marks; it is the most spontaneous and unpretentious medium of artistic individuality. As a form of reflection on paper, drawing is a reflection of both the external and internal worlds. This explains the diversity of the works on display.
The exhibition is also open as part of the “Short Night of Galleries and Museums” on April 11 from 7 p.m. to midnight and can be viewed in the Bellevue Hall until May 17.
