International Museum Day - Guided tours "Memory in Action: Marcelo Brodsky"
The Kunsthaus invites you to free public guided tours of the exhibition "Memory in Action: Marcelo Brodsky" on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 2 and 4 pm.
The theme of International Museum Day 2026 is: "Museums uniting a divided world." Every year, museums across Germany open their doors to the public—and the Kunsthaus is no exception. This year’s theme highlights the special role museums play in a time of global challenges and social tensions. Museums can build bridges—between generations, cultures, and different realities of life.
On this day, May 17, 2026, at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., the Kunsthaus invites visitors to guided tours of the exhibition "Memory in Action: Marcelo Brodsky." On display are around 100 works by the Argentine artist and human rights activist, whose work explores the reconstruction of memories, including “1968 – The Fire of Ideas,” “Africa in the Struggle for Freedom,” “Mandela,” and “Black Lives Matter.” Admission is free.
The event is taking place in cooperation with “MISHPOCHA: The Art of Collaboration” at the Jewish Museum Frankfurt and as part of World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026.
