Short night of galleries and museums
The "Short Night of Museums and Galleries" invites you to discover 38 museums, art associations, project spaces and galleries on Saturday, April 11, from 7 p.m. to midnight with free admission.
When the participants of the 24th "Short Night of Museums and Galleries" open their doors from 7 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, April 11, the Hessian state capital will once again become a stage for art, culture, and extraordinary experiences.
Thirty-eight museums, art associations, project spaces, and galleries invite visitors on a fascinating journey of discovery on this special evening. Visitors can expect a varied
program of high-caliber exhibitions, exciting presentations, and creative productions that reflect the entire spectrum of Wiesbaden's art and cultural landscape. Whether classical art, contemporary positions, or innovative projects – the "Short Night" offers inspiration, surprise, and cultural diversity at the highest level.
For over two decades, the "Short Night" has been an integral part of Wiesbaden's cultural calendar and impressive proof of how lively, open, and diverse the city's cultural scene is.
With traditionally free admission, visitors have the unique opportunity to experience museums, art associations, project spaces, and galleries in a very special atmosphere – relaxed, curious, and full of the joy of discovery.
Once again this year, the Wiesbaden PopJazzChor choir, under the proven direction of Clemens Schäfer, will be a crowd-puller, providing musical highlights. With its energetic and soulful performances, the choir thrills hundreds of visitors every year. It can be heard at the opening at 6 p.m. in the Theater kuenstlerhaus43 in the Palasthotel (Kranzplatz 1) and at 9 p.m. in the Museum Wiesbaden.
Oldimer shuttle "Rolling Museum"
An absolute highlight and unique in Germany is the "Rolling Museum," which brings the history of the automobile to life. More than 90 lovingly maintained historic classic cars from Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, North Rhine-Westphalia, and Baden-Württemberg transform the streets
of Wiesbaden into a mobile museum full of nostalgia and technical fascination.
What makes it special is that all visitors to the "Short Night" have the opportunity to ride in the historic vehicles. Special stops have been set up for this free shuttle service, making it easy to get on and off.
A new addition:
Exciting presentations and new exhibitors include: Das Haus der Heimat – BdV Landesverband Hessen, Friedrichstraße 35, MKK2 – Raum für Kunst, Walramstraße 16a, and Art Pop Up Galerie, Wilhelmstraße 38/Wilhelm-Arcade.
What also sets Wiesbaden's "Kurze Nacht" apart is the enormous commitment of its numerous volunteers. With passion, heart and soul, and great dedication, they play a key role in ensuring that this event is a success year after year. Their commitment to art, culture, and the Rolling Museum makes the "Kurze Nacht" a unique event in Germany with a very special atmosphere.
