Winter vacation at Freudenberg Castle
The vacations at Freudenberg begin with the traditional big seasonal bonfire on December 20. Together we welcome winter and light up the shortest day of the year with a warming, glowing fire. The physical well-being is taken care of with good food and hot and cold drinks.
When you enter the castle, the open fire glows and the smell of beeswax wafts into your nose. Everyone, young and old, can experience it: A winter candle "grows" from beeswax and a wick. The daily program is displayed on a large board: each day invites visitors to experience special impulses and guided tours about winter. You can listen to familiar and unfamiliar sounds in the Freudenberg sound room. In the dark bar, the princesses and the prince of darkness await with invisible "sweets", while the castle café serves different dishes of the day every day during the winter vacations. A campfire burns in the castle park: chopping wood, sawing logs, baking flat cakes, popping popcorn. As always, there is a public guided tour of the field of experience every Sunday at 3 pm with changing themes.

The art of unlearning, of stopping, is not on the curriculum. But - no renewal
without letting go - no change without stopping. From old ways, patterns, habits, from

when we let go, when we stop, space is created for something new - space for listening, for listening
