The Dennis & Jesko Band will be presenting satirical soccer hits with lots of WUMMS for young and old on Friday, September 19, at 1:30 p.m. in the Schlachthof.
"Hier geht's lang, bidde" - with this striking opener, the Dennis & Jesko Band has been creating a great atmosphere for years. Consisting of the award-winning satirists and comedians Dennis Kaupp and Jesko Friedrich - as well as their third band member and producer Markus Baier, the band has established a firm place for itself in the German media landscape. With over 500 million views on the YouTube channel WUMMS and many audio streams on various platforms, the Dennis & Jesko Band is a phenomenon - and not just online.
The band is also known far beyond the internet for their satirical songs, which deal with the topic of soccer in a humorous and critical way. Their songs are particularly popular with young fans - kids can sing them by heart! In addition to their first super hit "Rambo Ramos", which became a real earworm with over 58 million views, the trio's repertoire includes other well-known schoolyard hits such as "The Lewandowski Song", "The Mbappé Song", "The Messi-Ronaldo (GOAT) Song" and "The Antonio Rüdiger Song". With their catchy melodies and witty lyrics, they hit the nerve of the times and make both children and adults smile.
About Dennis, Jesko & Markus
Dennis Kaupp and Jesko Friedrich are the award-winning comedy duo Dennis & Jesko. With their sharp-witted humor and their ability to comment on social issues in a humorous way, they have built up a large fan base in the German comedy and satire scene. On Extra 3, they regularly provide laughs and food for thought with political and socially critical songs and clever sketches. In addition to their stage and television presence, Dennis and Jesko are also active as authors. Markus has been dedicated to music since childhood and has been involved in various music and band projects ever since. He has been and still is active in both classical and pop-cultural contexts. He runs a recording studio in Hamburg, where he also produces all the songs for the Dennis and Jesko Band. The multi-instrumentalist records every note himself and takes great pleasure in arranging and refining the songs down to the last detail before release.
