"It's simply impossible to play the ukulele without a smile on your face." This quote is attributed to George Harrison - and countless ukulele players today prove that he was not so wrong in his assessment.
The little "jumping flea" - the literal translation - is now one of the most popular instruments, whether on the stages of this world or simply on the cozy living room couch.
Udo Parker, who has been diligently turning the flywheel of the Wiesbaden ukulele movement for years, founded the trio "The Instant Ukebox" in 2021 with his musical partner Sabine Gramenz and his old friend Günter Rieber, which presents the audience with a colorful bouquet of well-known and also rather rarely played pearls from the last 100 years of music history. The trio's trademarks are jazz standards from the 1920s, golden evergreens and catchy tunes in German and French by Doris Day, Bette Midler, Marilyn Monroe, Edith Piaf, Judy Garland and Catarina Valente, among others.
Look forward to The Instant Ukebox, because it's simply impossible to listen to this ukulele trio without a smile on your face!
