Day of the open Kurhaus organ
On Friday, May 1, you can visit the organ in the Kurhaus from 1 pm. From 4 pm, there will be a short concert with 13-year-old Joan Salaru, who will accompany his 16-year-old sister Anna on the violin at the organ.
The Kurhaus organ, built in 1954 and usually hidden behind the gilded grille on the stage of the Friedrich-von-Thiersch Hall at the Kurhaus, will be on display and can be heard on Monday, February 16.
The Kurhaus Organ Support Association invites you to get to know the organ: in the Friedrich-von-Thiersch Hall, the grilles above the stage will be opened, revealing the organ pipes. There will be guided tours of the organ chamber, where the pipe work will be explained. Organists from the association will demonstrate the instrument through performance.
Starting at 4 p.m., there will be a short concert featuring 13-year-old Joan Salaru, who will accompany his 16-year-old sister Anna on the violin while playing the organ.
Admission is free; a donation box will be available.
