Boris Meinzer
His specialty is silly questions: Which city is the Augsburger Puppenkiste from? Who shot the Brandenburg Gate? And what kind of music does the Sistine Chapel play? The Dummfrager is Hesse’s best-known and most beloved radio character. For 20 years now, a fun quiz has been running on Hit Radio FFH, making it one of Germany’s longest-running radio comedy series. Tirelessly, the Dummfrager roams the state’s pedestrian zones, testing people’s knowledge with simple—but often downright silly—questions. Last year, his first book featuring the funniest answers was published.
Behind the character of the Dummfrager is Boris Meinzer, a comedian, freelance comedy writer, and producer (with Hit Radio FFH since 2002), who has twice won the German Radio Award in the “Best Comedy” category.
