Decentralized culture

Wiesbaden has a lot to offer culturally - also in the city's districts. In cooperation with cultural initiatives, local associations, individuals and institutions, multi-day cultural days are organized and held annually, sometimes biennially, in Wiesbaden's districts, housing estates and neighbourhoods. During the Culture Days, there is a variety of programs including exhibitions, readings, classical, rock and pop concerts, cabaret, comedy, film evenings, district tours and theater performances.

The actors from the districts formulate their ideas and are advised and supported by the Cultural Office during the organizational phase, as well as receiving financial and material support. Decentralized cultural work highlights the special features of each district, quarter and housing estate.

Culture days are held in the following districts:

Amöneburg, Bergkirchen district, Biebrich, Bierstadt, Breckenheim, Dotzheim, Erbenheim, Frauenstein, Freudenberg, Heßloch, Kastel, Klarenthal, Kohlheck, Kostheim, Medenbach, Nerotal, Nordenstadt, Rambach, Rheingau district-Hollerborn, Sauerland, Southeast, Westend.
