Brief description:

The Cold War, the economic miracle, reunification – political posters bear witness to their times. Stylistically and aesthetically, they reflect their respective eras.

The Hessian State Parliament is exhibiting election posters from the founding of Hesse 80 years ago to the first state election after reunification. The exhibition will open on the parliamentary evening of culture on March 18, 2026, and can be visited in the following weeks as part of a guided tour or during the Short Night of Museums on April 11, 2026. Information about the guided tours and how to register can be found on the state parliament's website.

"Unter Druck" is a collaboration with the Museum Wiesbaden, where around 80 political posters from the Weimar Republic from 1918 to 1933 will be on display in a special exhibition until August 9, 2026.
