Brief description: What is it about?
Industrial history meets new work on the banks of the Rhine in Wiesbaden: How can new demands on the world of work be combined with the legacy of the industrial age? Using the example of the industrial site on the banks of the Rhine in Wiesbaden, we would like to discuss strategies and approaches for the reuse and further development of former industrial buildings with experts and representatives from science and practice. With their specific past, the former power station hall and the post-war modernist high-rise designed by architect Ernst Neufert offer inspiration for reflection and new ideas.
At the same time, we would like to focus on the cultural heritage of industrial culture in Wiesbaden and make it visible to the public. With public tours and expert input, we provide an insight into the listed buildings on the banks of the Rhine and the industrial history of Wiesbaden.
