Science finds the city
The "Science Finds the City" series will continue from April 22 to June 10, 2026 on various topics. It will continue on 22 April with the topic "How do security forces react in crises?" and on 6 May with "Local power islands, strong neighborhoods".
The Wiesbaden Science Network, together with the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, invites all interested parties to the City and Music Library for the lecture evening "Teaching and research in times of war: everyday university life in Ukraine". The program includes three short lectures by Prof. Dr. Oksana Chotinska-Nor from Kyiv, Prof. Dr. Tetiana Slinko from Kharkiv and Prof. Dr. Oksana Shcherbanyuk from Chernivtsi. They will report on life at universities in Ukraine under the influence of the Russian war of aggression.
Following the presentations, participants will be able to enter into a dialog with the professors. Prof. Dr. Rainer Wedde from RheinMain University of Applied Sciences will moderate the event. The lectures and discussions will be interpreted.
Admission is free. The event is seated with free choice of seats. Seating is limited.
About the Wiesbaden Science Network
The city, five universities and many companies are involved in the Wiesbaden Science Network. The network presents itself with various projects and event series in order to exchange ideas with all citizens.
