Open the flap: Wiesbaden's culture at a glance
The new culture portal "kultur.guide" has been launched.
At the end of August, the Wiesbaden Cultural Office and the design office Michael Eibes launched the kultur.guide and Infobox Kultur initiative - with the aim of giving Wiesbaden's diverse cultural scene greater visibility.
The digital culture portal www.kultur.guide (opens in a new tab) offers a comprehensive overview of programs, institutions and events in Wiesbaden - editorially supervised, clearly structured and available online at any time.
The Infobox Culture provides additional attention: an eye-catching container in the city center, equipped with large monitors on which cultural programs are advertised. At the weekends, there are changing activities on site. The project invites passers-by to discover Wiesbaden's cultural diversity.
The model project was initiated at the suggestion of the Cultural Advisory Board. "Cultural professionals lack forums and spaces to showcase the diversity of Wiesbaden's culture. The Cultural Advisory Board wanted to address this - and we are pleased and encouraged by the lively response from the cultural scene," explains Dr. Helmut Müller, Chairman of the Cultural Advisory Board.
On September 25, the Infobox will move from Mauritiusplatz to Luisenplatz. There it will open its doors again on September 27: The Chamber Music Initiative in Wiesbaden will present its new concert season from 2 to 4 p.m. and provide information about its traditional program.
The Infobox will also remain a meeting place for culture in the autumn: In October, the kuenstlerhaus43 will present its program, and in November, the exground Filmfest will be a guest at the Kranzplatz location for two days. At the same time, current cultural events from Wiesbaden will be shown on the monitors.
The locations of the Infobox have been deliberately chosen: Mauritiusplatz, Luisenplatz, Kirchgasse, Dern'sches Gelände and Kranzplatz are among Wiesbaden's central locations. Approvals and organizational implementation were carried out by the Cultural Office together with Michael Eibes. Bookings can be made via kulturguideeibescom.
The Infobox Kultur is a mobile stage for Wiesbaden's cultural diversity - visible, accessible and in the middle of the city. Further information under the keywords Infobox Kultur & kultur.guide on wiesbaden.de
