Conceptual support for music
Every year, the Wiesbaden Cultural Office invites tenders for conceptual funding in the field of music. The focus is on strengthening structures, expanding artistic diversity and quality and addressing new target groups.
Concept funding is provided for up to two years. It supports projects that require more long-term, continuous funding. Applications from artists must be submitted online via the funding portal of the state capital of Wiesbaden.
Application for conceptual funding for music
Cultural actors from the field of music have been invited to apply for the "Conceptual Funding for Music" funding program by the end of February 2025 using the link below. Funding will be awarded based on the recommendation of the music expert jury appointed by the Department of Culture. The decisions will be communicated at the beginning of April 2025.
Music 2025 concept funding awarded
The five-member jury for the music concept grant consisted of
Franziska Domes (Wiesbaden Cultural Office, Head of the Department of District Culture - Performing Arts - Music Artistry)
Tilmann Höhn (freelance guitarist, composer, producer)
Cornelius Koog (Kreativfabrik Wiesbaden e. V., program planning)
Maximilian Nickel (Wiesbaden Music Academy)
Mareike Wütscher (Landesmusikakademie Hessen, Managing Director).
From ten applications, the jury selected Juan David Bermudez for his project entitled "Tres Bosques (Three Forests)", which is being funded with €10,000. It aims to acoustically preserve three forest areas in Wiesbaden through audio recordings and acoustic measurements. The soundscapes of these areas will be recorded, stored, documented and preserved; they will also be presented as a sound art installation.
