Cultural exchange with partner cities
The state capital of Wiesbaden maintains 18 international partnerships. Cultural exchange between the municipalities plays a particularly important role in these relationships.
The aim of the cultural exchange is to establish contacts between artists and cultural associations from Wiesbaden and the partner cities and to implement cultural projects.
For this reason, various cultural events are held annually in Wiesbaden with the participation of artists from the partner cities; many cultural groups and institutions from Wiesbaden are also guests in the partner cities.
Which projects can be funded?
Cultural projects can be funded if a cultural exchange takes place that goes beyond a mere guest performance. Project planning and implementation are the responsibility of the participants themselves. The partnership associations in Wiesbaden can provide support or take over the organization. Applications are submitted via the general project funding.
