On August 10, 2002, a delegation from Ljubljana visited the Hessian state capital to mark the 25th anniversary of the town twinning with Wiesbaden.

At a festive reception in the ceremonial hall of the town hall, the speakers from both cities praised the successes to date and declared their intention to make further efforts to expand political, social and cultural exchange in the future.

Afterwards, the guests signed the city's Golden Book, as they did when the partnership agreement was signed.
