European Veterinary Congress
On September 11, 1972, the Executive Board of the European Veterinary Congress signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
The first European Veterinary Congress and the tenth German Veterinary Congress took place in Wiesbaden from September 11 to 15, 1972.
The Magistrate took the visit of international veterinarians and scientists as an opportunity to ask the Congress Presidium for an entry in the Golden Book. The organizers were happy to comply with this request in a letter dated 16 August. Mayor Schmitt received his guests on September 11 in the ballroom of the town hall.
In a short speech, he thanked the organizers for choosing Wiesbaden as the venue and praised the work of the veterinarians as an important contribution to the preservation of creation. The President of the International Veterinary Association Derivaux from Belgium and the President of the German Veterinary Association Schulz thanked for the kind words and praised Wiesbaden as a congress city with an excellent infrastructure.
The two presidents and the international presidiums of the congresses then signed the Golden Book.
