Dr. Franz Kamphaus, Bishop of Limburg
On November 14, 2003, Dr. Franz Kamphaus, Bishop of Limburg, signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
The Bishop of Limburg, Dr. Franz Kamphaus, accepted an invitation to the Hessian state capital in November 2003.
In addition to taking part in an ecumenical forum on the subject of medical euthanasia, which was organized by the market church community, a visit to the town hall was also on the agenda.
Mayor Hildebrand Diehl welcomed the church dignitary in the splendidly decorated ceremonial hall in the presence of Angelika Thiels, head of the city council, and numerous members of the city council and city assembly. Diehl paid tribute to the bishop's decades of commitment to his diocese and to ecumenism.
Dr. Kamphaus expressed his thanks for the warm welcome and focused his speech on the preservation of Christian values in modern society, after which he signed the city's Golden Book.
