Sir Frederick Robert Hoyer Millar
On April 22, 1954, the British High Commissioner to Germany, Sir Frederick Robert Hoyer Millar, signed the Golden Book of the City of Wiesbaden.
On the evening of April 22, 1954, Lord Mayor Erich Mix and representatives of the city council invited the British High Commissioner Sir Frederick Hoyer Millar, who was in Wiesbaden as a guest of the Hessian state government, to a reception in the town hall.
After Sir Hoyer Millar had pointed out the similarities between Germany and Great Britain in a short speech and emphasized the importance of both countries for Europe and the world, he was presented with a Meissen porcelain plate as a memento.
The distinguished guest and his wife then signed the town's Golden Book before continuing their journey to Eberbach Abbey accompanied by the British Consul General.
